Echo Park's family-friendly French comfort destination--with moderate prices and a discounted wine list to match.. The stately dining room is decorated like a fancy restaurant, with frosted glass and a faux tin ceiling, yet the moderately priced fare and abundant portions draw everyone from priests to Eastside hipsters. Traditional three-course dinners include soup, salad and dessert. The signature roast chicken is sided by bordelaise sauce, and trout almondine's buttered coating is scattered with almond slivers. The extensive wine list--featuring superior bottles at cut-rate prices--is a draw in and of itself.
