Old City's long-running favorite is heading in an entirely new direction under executive chef Eli Kulp, formerly of Manhattan's acclaimed Torrisi Italian Specialties. Kulp's addition, which coincides with a aesthetic freshening of the room, brings with it a $65 "house menu" option that allows diners to build their own tastings off the innovative and ever-changing seasonal menu. Lunch before or after shopping the Old City boutique district is still a reliable option, but for a more opulent experience, inquire about the nightly whole-animal option, which sees the kitchen preparing full-on feasts (think whole roasted fish or Szechuan-spiced Muscovy duck), meant to be shared by the table.
