According to “science” a good view increases your metabolism by up to 30%. Test the theory at Compass Café, which boasts stunning views of Lake Union and the Space Needle. The compact modern space is housed in the not-so-modern new Museum of Modern Art in the refurbished Naval Reserve Buidling. Sit at the bar, comprised of repurposed wood from the historic schooner Wawona or on and the patio in the summer months and nosh locally-sourced eats ranging from sandwiches, salads and soups, to small plates and desserts.
