It's a cuisine that's not on the tip of your lips, but maybe it should be. With Indian, Portuguese, Dutch and British influences, the menu has familiar dishes like pickles, meatballs and ceviche but spiced with sophisticated flavors from far away lands. Chef Brian Fernando's worked at Chez Panisse and Le Papilon but the style of dining here is more casual, with small plates both sweet and savory. Sri Lanka may be the next big thing to hit SOMA.
