If you like pigs or pies or alliteration then Pig & Pie, the new sausage and pie joint that occupies the former Discolandia space, is for you. Sourcing their protein from mainly local purveyors, each and every one of their innovative sausages are expertly crafted in-house to tremendous effect. Humdrum bratwurst blush with shame beside the Boudin Blanc – a warm spiced chicken and pork sausage with mayo, preserved lemon, shallot confit and arugula. The Banh Mi – a black pepper, garlic, pork skin sausage with pickled daikon and carrot, jalapeno, cucumber, cilantro, Sriracha and chicken liver pate is also spectacular, The three daily pies on offer include their spiced pecan and shaker lemon in addition to one rotating seasonal option.
